This pilgrimage was a national pilgrimage of 'Prayer of the Heart' with the World Youth Day Cross and Icon. The Great Crossing Pilgrimage went for 6 days, beginning in Darwin (NT) and concluding in Port Augusta (SA). Two of these days were spent aboard the iconic train, the Ghan, with events and gatherings with local communities in Katherine, Tennant Creek, Alice Springs, Uluru, Coober Pedy, Woomera and Roxby Downs. 42 Pilgrims from across Australia joined in the pilgrimage.
