An indigenous Message Stick is accompanying the Cross & Icon in Australia. The Message Stick is an invitation from the Sydney indigenous community to the indigenous youth of Australia to come to WYD08.

The WYD Cross and Icon are travelling through every diocese, in every state, in Australia. This will be your chance to feel the spirit of WYD, to add your own steps and prayers to the 21 year-long pilgrimage of young people who have carried these symbols of Christ's love for humanity in every corner of the world.

The Holy See has granted a Plenary Indulgence for the WYD Cross during its journey in Australia.
