On Saturday 19 July, after the Pilgrimage Walk to Randwick Racecourse, registered pilgrims and general public will take part in the Evening Vigil with the Pope, from 7.00pm-9.00pm at Southern Cross Precinct, Randwick Racecourse and Centennial Park.

Registered pilgrims have priority access to Randwick Racecouse, with some space for the general public. Go to the event planner for more information.

A joyful and moving event, the Vigil consists of music and song, a ceremony of candlelight, testimonies, homily by the Pope, prayer and a time of Eucharistic Adoration. The Vigil continues well into the night with quiet, prayerful reflection and adoration.

Pilgrims will then sleep out under the stars at Randwick Racecourse, in preparation for the Final Mass on Sunday 20 July.

While you may participate in the Evening Vigil at Centennial Park, it will be closing after the evening's program has finished at 9pm and the park will be cleared, closed and prepared for the following day. There is no camping in Centennial Park. The only venue hosting the overnight sleep out is Randwick Racecourse.
