In July, we ask you to pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on WYD08. We pray for pilgrims to experience the love of Christ, transforming their hearts and minds, inspiring them to be witnesses of God?s power, grace and mercy.

In June, we ask you to pray for the staff and volunteers of WYD08. We pray that God may continue to strengthen, guide and protect them through the power of the Holy Spirit.

In May, we ask the intercession of Our Lady of the Southern Cross, Help of Christians for all the spiritual and logistical preparations for WYD08. We pray that Mary's 'yes' to God's Word may be an example to all those in service of WYD08 and the Church.

In April, we ask you to intercede for Pope Benedict XVI. We pray that the Lord may continue to grace, strengthen and guide the Holy Father, especially in the preparations for WYD08.

In March, we ask you to intercede for pilgrims worldwide who are spiritually, physically and financially preparing to come to WYD08. We pray that the Lord may provide for all their needs and prepare their hearts, through the power of the Holy Spirit, for the many gifts and blessings on this pilgrim journey.

In February, we ask you to intercede for the WYD08 Pilgrim Group leaders and Youth Ministry leaders across the nation; that the Holy Spirit may lead, strengthen and bless their efforts in bringing young people closer to Christ. We pray that youth groups may be a source of spiritual nourishment and formation, especially in their preparations for WYD08.

In January, we ask you to intercede for the Pilgrim Partnership Support Program, so that many parishes and groups in Australia may be inspired to give generously and become WYD08 Pilgrim partners. By doing so, many young pilgrims from Oceania will have the opportunity to join us in Sydney for WYD08.

In December, we ask you to intercede for families, that they may be strengthened in their love and commitment to each other, inspired by the example and intercession of the Holy Family of Mary, Jesus and Joseph. We especially pray for children and young people, that their home may be a source of spiritual nourishment and faith formation.

In November, we call you to pray to the Holy Spirit to lead in the selection of the Youth Festival performers, artists and presenters for WYD08. May God bless and guide the many talented Youth Festival applicants and continue to inspire them to use their gifts and talents for the Glory of God.

In October, we call you to pray for the International Preparatory Meeting, an important meeting of representatives from around the world, hosted in Sydney for several days this month, in preparations for WYD08.
